About

Nǐ hǎo!

My name is Laura, or Lola as I’m called here in China.

I am an Aussie-Brit, living in the South subtropical Chinese city of Zhuhai and discovering what this big, oriental country is actually all about.

Previously in Paris, I quit my job, followed my hubby to China and had a baby along the way, as well as a hell of a lot of adventures.

Here, I write about living and travelilng in China, Chinese culture, people and of course, food.

The name, Who Moved My Dumpling, is inspired by a book my Mother gave me – ‘Who Moved My Cheese? : An Amazing Way to Deal with Change in Your Work and in Your Life‘ by Dr Spencer Johnson, which I still find immensely useful to this day.

So now going from macarons to mooncakes, I feel the title sufficiently apt.

When in China use a sun-blocking umbrella, of course!
